The key sizing factor: a compartment stays occupied until the parcel is collected. Remote work and shifted hours extend this delay.
Year-end, sales periods, back-to-school: parcel flows can surge for a few weeks.

Freed-up time is capacity that can be reallocated to higher-value tasks, not a direct cash saving. When flows are spread over several locations, an even split is assumed.
